Corporate Services
Sterling corporate services are used by clients for many purposes, including portfolio investment, trading, property investment, patent, royalty and copyright holding, ship and aircraft ownership and financing, asset-based lending, and long-term project financing. We also administer companies used by expatriates, entertainers, sportspersons and professionals as part of their international planning.
A key service utilizes The Bahamas International Business Company (IBC) which was introduced in 2000 as a vehicle for transacting business outside the Bahamas. Incorporation can take as little as 24-hours. The identity of shareholders is not public record and there is no requirement to file an annual return. In line with international standards, the directors of the IBC must file a document with the registered agent confirming the location of the company’s accounting records.
An International Business Company (IBC) is a flexible, low cost, corporate vehicle which can be used for almost every commercial activity, including the holding of bank accounts, real estate, investment portfolios and international trading accounts. Stocks and pooled investments, such as mutual funds, can be purchased in the name of the IBC.
